Academic Decathlon

Model UN and Model Congress are designed to give students the opportunity to assume the role of the central figures involved in the diplomatic and legislative processes. We do not sit in a room and talk about what’s going on in the world. We examine problems and try to find solutions to problems. In short - we simulate ‘how do we make our world a better place?’ as well as ‘how do we strengthen\improve our nation?’ Students learn the practical (ex. how a bill becomes a law, the structural make up of the UN) as well as the universal applicability of skills developed in preparation for conferences.

Why should you join Model UN or Model Congress? There are a ton (check out the links I’ve included below)! Come to a meeting and see what it’s all about! YOU DO NOT NEED ANY EXPERIENCE.
